Privacy policy
Effective 12 August 2026
Zuno World (“Zuno World”, “we”, “us”) runs a platform that lets businesses build a public page — a “world” — and lets customers reach that business through it. This policy explains what information we collect from people who use Zuno World, whether as a business or as a customer, and what we do with it.
1. Information we collect
Account information
Every Zuno World account is a phone number. We collect the phone number you sign in with and verify it by one-time passcode; we don’t receive or store your passcode provider’s data beyond confirming the code matched. You may also add a display name and choose an avatar colour.
Business information
If you create or join a business on Zuno World, we store what that business publishes — its name, category, description, hours, location, photos, catalog or menu items — along with your role at that business (owner, manager or staff) and the team members you invite.
Customer activity
When you interact with a business’s world as a customer — sending an inquiry, placing an order, adding items to a cart — we store that activity so both you and the business can see its history. Conversations with a business are visible to that business’s team; a business’s different customers, and its different profiles, never see each other’s activity (see “How we keep profiles separate” below).
Location
Some businesses offer delivery. If and when delivery tracking is enabled for an order, the location shared for that delivery is only visible to the people involved in fulfilling and receiving that order, for the duration of the delivery.
Technical information
Like most web services, our infrastructure providers log standard technical data — IP address, browser type, pages requested — for security and reliability. We don’t use this for advertising, and we don’t run third-party ad trackers on Zuno World.
2. How we use this information
- To operate your account, your business’s world, and the orders or conversations that happen through it
- To let a business’s team see the history of changes they’re responsible for
- To calculate and collect the commission described in our pricing, once payments launch
- To keep the platform secure and prevent abuse
- To contact you about your account or a business you’re part of — never for marketing without your consent
3. How we keep profiles separate
One person can hold a Customer profile and any number of business profiles on Zuno World. These are strictly isolated: your activity as a customer at one business is never visible to your role at another business, and your business role is never visible to businesses you shop at as a customer. Nothing you do under one profile is attributed to another, even though they’re the same phone number underneath.
4. Who we share information with
We don’t sell personal information. We share it only with:
- The business you’re interacting with, limited to what that interaction requires
- Infrastructure providers who host our database and run our servers, under contracts that limit them to providing that service
- A payment processor, once UPI checkout launches, to process an order’s payment and split the commission — see pricing
- Law enforcement or regulators, only when legally required
5. How long we keep it
We keep account and business data for as long as the account or business exists on Zuno World, plus a reasonable period afterward for records we’re legally required to keep — order and payment history in particular. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; see “Your rights” below.
6. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- See and update your profile information from your account settings
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to delete your account and associated personal information, subject to records we’re required to retain
- Leave any business you’re a member of, or transfer ownership before leaving if you’re the sole owner
To exercise any of these, contact us at privacy@zunoworld.app.
7. Children
Zuno World is not directed at children, and account creation requires a working phone number capable of receiving a one-time passcode.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to this policy, we’ll update the effective date above and, where required, let you know directly.
